Lic. Bernardo Abruzzese, Secretary of the Official Representation and International Relations, and Lic. María Soledad Delgado, Coordinator of International Relations and Cooperation, held an interesting agenda in Finland and Estonia on education, the knowledge-driven economy, digitalization, and new technologies.
They held meetings with the Finnish National Education Agency, the Helsinki Education Hub and visited the Käpylä Finnish-Spanish bilingual primary school.
They also delved into the mechanisms for linking universities and companies with visits to Aalto University and its Startup Center and the Nexus incubator at the University of Helsinki .
Regarding innovation and smart cities, they learned about the innovative ecosystem of the City of Espoo.
They were also able to discuss advanced e-governance and digitalization experiences in meetings with the Finnish Digital and Population Services Agency (DVV) and the Nordic Institute for Interoperability Solutions (NIIS).
In Estonia, the program focused on the digital and entrepreneurial ecosystem, visiting the e-Estonia Briefing Center and holding meetings with several leading technology companies. The program concluded with an interesting meeting with Tallinn City Council, where smart city strategies, municipal digitalization, and urban sustainability were presented.
