Vice President of Argentina visited Finland

Vice President of Argentina Gabriela Michetti visited Finland this week with a delegation including representatives from the Ministry of Agroindustry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship.

The delegation met with President Sauli Niinistö, Prime Minister Juha Sipilä and Speaker of the Parliament Paula Risikko. During their visit in Helsinki, they also had meetings with the ministers of Agriculture and Forestry, Education, Finance, Foreign Affairs and International Trade and Development.

Additionally, the agenda consisted of a business seminar with important representatives from the Finnish corporate sector, including companies such as Fortum, Kemira, Konecranes, Nokia, Pöyry and Stora Enso, among others.

A meeting was organised with Kynnys ry to learn about the situation of the persons with disabilities in Finland.

Lastly, the well-known Finnish entrepreneur Peter Vesterbacka received the delegation to tell about the Finnish startup ecosystem.

The Vice President and her delegation were very grateful for the hospitality and support received from Finland.

Argentina and Finland celebrate 100 years of bilateral relations this year and Argentina was the first country outside Europe to recognise Finnish independence in 1918.
