RAICES Program

The RAICES Program aims to strengthen the country's scientific and technological capabilities by developing policies for connecting with Argentine researchers living abroad, as well as actions aimed at promoting the permanence of researchers in the country and the return of those interested in developing their activities in Argentina. Law No. 26,421 declared the Program a State Policy.

Its objectives are to increase the transfer of knowledge between Argentine scientists living abroad and the local scientific community, promote cooperation and exchange with centers of excellence, foster cooperation projects, promote human resource development, and strengthen the country's scientific and technological capabilities.

Among the achievements are: nearly a thousand Argentine scientists and researchers repatriated, more than 170 return proposals disseminated, 95 scientific and technological research projects approved, more than 4,900 researchers registered in the database, more than 220 visits to the country by outstanding Argentine researchers residing abroad, 39 networks funded, more than 300 international projects evaluated, scientific representatives abroad, and 30 RAICES Awards presented.

We invite you to learn about the outreach and repatriation efforts carried out by the Program at https://www.argentina.gob.ar/ciencia/raices.
