Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braze held lunch with the Ambassadors/Chargés d'Affaires of the Embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Peru, and Portugal.
During the meeting, the main topics on the international and regional agenda were reviewed, and the shared values and strong cultural and historical ties between Europe and Latin America were highlighted.
Minister Braze expressed her support for strengthening relations between the European Union (EU) and the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, especially in areas of common interest such as peace and stability, trade and investment, and an inclusive and sustainable society.
At the bilateral level, we highlight the more than 100 years of diplomatic relations between both countries and the desire to continue strengthening these ties, which were further strengthened by the holding of political consultations in Buenos Aires last September.
