The consultations took place on September 25 in Buenos Aires, chaired by the Argentine Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Leopoldo Sahores, and the Secretary General of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Jonatan Vseviov.
During the meeting, the bilateral agenda was reviewed and the interest of both countries in deepening and diversifying their cooperation was reaffirmed. Opportunities in economic and trade matters were highlighted, as well as the possibilities for working together in the fields of digitalization and e-governance, among others.
The delegations discussed the international situation in Europe and Latin America, reaffirmed their support for Ukraine, and highlighted the joint work within the framework of Point 5 of the Peace Formula, co-led by Argentina and Estonia.
Ambassador Sahores expressed the importance of the Mercosur-EU Agreement for Argentina, while also highlighting the process the country has initiated to join the OECD. In addition, Secretary General Vseviov gave a lecture at the Argentine Diplomatic Academy (ISEN).
