A new edition of Seinäjoki's Tangomarkkinat took place last weekend. Tangomarkkinat is the biggest tango festival en Finland and is also one of the country's biggest eventos. On this occasion the festival gathered around 105.000 people.
Argentina was represented at the festival by the talented artists of the trio Tango Reo, composed by bandoneon player Mercedes Krapovickas, singer Leandro Roco and violinist Camilla Bäckman. Tango Reo gave a concert on Friday, July 8, and also played at the "Tango Queen" finals on Saturday, July 9. The three artists played the tango "Malena", composed by Lucio Demare with lyrics of Homero Manzi, and tried to recreate the stile of the times of this tango's first interpretation in 1942.
