The next edition of the World of Tango festival (Maailmantango) will be inaugurated on September 19 at the Klubi Restaurant in Tampere. This year the festival will host, among other artists, Argentine singer Sandra Luna and El Cachivache Quinteto.
Sandra Luna will be accompanied by the Finnish tango ensemble Sexteto Tango del Norte. She is a classic female tango singer from Argentina, grown up in Buenos Aires and performing tangos since her early age. Her performances have a strong narrative element, sometimes full of pain, but always passionate. The audience will enjoy a variety of styles extending from traditional songs to redefined pieces of Tango Nuevo, spiced up with old jazz and French chanson, cabaret and café.
El Cachivache Quinteto has earned great popularity among dancers all over the world. El Cachivache is a stylish and rhytmic orchestra that always draws the crowds to the dance floor. They will be performing at the Pakkahuone Hall, Tampere on September 20.
