Last Friday, April 15, the 2016 Malbec World Day was celebrated at the Vanha Ylioppilastalo in Helsinki.
This year we celebrated Malbec as a classic. A classic wine is one that is appreciated by those who try it for the first time and those who drink it regularly. Malbec has become the paradigm of Argentine wine, our flagship variety.
During this event the 700 visitors had the opportunity to taste the widest variety of Argentine wines in Finland. This occasion was a celebration of our wines and their unique identity and quality.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Argentina in collaboration with Viinilehti and the main Finnish wine importers, and was supported by Wines of Argentina.
The Malbec World Day programme in Helsinki included three master class by Finnish sommeliers Antti Rinta-Huumo and Antti Uusitalo, as well as live traditional Argentina music by Javier Ramírez and Leandro Roco.
