Yesterday the ninth edition of Cinemaissí, Helsinki´s Latin American film festival, was inaugurated. This year, Argentina will be represented at the festival with two films: "The German Friend" (2012) by Jeanine Meerapfel, shown in collaboration with the Goethe Institute in Helsinki and the Argentine Embassy, and "Mía" (2011) by Javier Van of Couter. To accompany the latter, festival organizers invited -with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland- the leading actress Camila Sosa Villada, who on the occasion of the festival and as a transsexual, entered Finland on an Argentine passport issued to her under the Gender Identity Law of Argentina.
