A delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation visited Finland between the 10th and 12th of September to hold meetings with Finnish counterparts with the aim of exploring opportunities of cooperation in the area of bioeconomy. The Argentine delegation included Dr. Alejandro Mentaberry, Executiv Coordinator of the Cabinet of Science and Technology (GACTEC), Dr. Eduardo J. Trigo, Scientific Adviser of the Ministry, and Lic. María Eugenia Tola, Coordinator of Bilateral Cooperation Programs, National Directorate of International Relations. As part of the agenda, the delegation held meetings with representatives of the research institute VTT, the Finnish bioeconomy cluster FIBIC and the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI). It is worth noting that the FMI maintains several research activities in Argentine bases in Antarctica, in the framework of a bilateral cooperation agreement that celebrated its 25th anniversary last year.
