Argentine Film Cycle in Tallinn, Estonia

As part of the commemorations of the Bicentennial of the Declaration of Independence of the Argentine Republic, the NGO Tango de Maret together with the Embassy of Argentina in Finland will organise an Argentine Film Cycle, starting on Friday October 14 in the Picasso Cultural Center in Tallinn.

During the following eight months, from October to May 2017, people of Tallinn will have the special opportunity to see a wide range of different Argentine films.

The opening movie of the series will be an Argentine classic Nine Queens (Nueve Reinas, 2000) by Fabián Bielinsky. 

Other films to be screened as part of the Argentine Film Series in the Picasso Cultural Center are the following:

  • Sidewalls (Medianeras, 2011) by Gustavo Taretto
  • Showroom (2014) by Fernando Molnar
  • A Boyfriend for My Wife (Un Novio para mi Mujer, 2008) by Juan Taratuto
  • Not So Modern Times (Tiempos Menos Modernos, 2012) by Simón Franco
  • Underdogs (Metegol, 2013) by Juan José Campanella
  • Vinyl Days (Días de Vinilo, 2012) by Gabriel Nesci
  • Midsummer Night's Tango (Tango de una Noche de Verano, 2013) by Viviane Blumenscheinci

The films will be screened at 7 pm on the following dates: November 11, December 9, January 13, February 10, March 10, April 14 and May 12. 

All films will be screened in their original version with English subtitles. The screenings are free of charge.
