On March 10th, we held a presentation and tasting of Argentine honey, organized by this Embassy together with the Department of International Strategy and Integration Agenda (DEAGI) of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (SAGyP).
During the event, Alexis Rodríguez, SAGyP's Apiculture Coordinator, gave a presentation on the Argentine beekeeping sector, its production levels, high quality standards, and the export potential of Argentine honey.
Presentations were also given by honey producers from Aleluya, Beepure, VM Tittarelli S.A.-Endumel, the Federation of Apicultural Cooperatives (FE.CO.API), the Santa Fe Apicultural Export Group (GEAS), Miel de Monte, Miel de Río Negro, and PuroMonte, who shared their experiences and the unique characteristics of their products.
Representatives from major food importers and retail groups in Finland participated in the event, where they had the opportunity to learn more about honey production in Argentina and sample a selection of over 20 different honeys from various Argentine provinces.
The event helped position Argentine honey in the Finnish market as a competitive, natural, and high-quality product, strengthening the international presence of Argentine producers and opening new business opportunities in a market with a growing demand for sustainable, certified, and high-quality foods.
