On October 9, the VI Round of Bilateral Political Consultations was held in Buenos Aires, chaired by the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs of the Argentine Foreign Ministry, Juan Manuel Navarro, and the Undersecretary of International Trade of Finland, Jarno Syrjälä.
During the meeting, perspectives on bilateral, regional, and multilateral issues were exchanged, and both countries' interest in continuing to deepen the historic diplomatic ties that have united us for more than 100 years was reaffirmed.
The bilateral relationship, in addition to being long-standing, is multifaceted, encompassing multiple areas of cooperation. During the meeting, economic and commercial opportunities—in areas such as energy, mining, and technology—were discussed, as well as the strengthening of polar and technical cooperation, and collaboration in education, among other topics of common interest.
During their visit to our country, the Finnish delegation also held a productive meeting with the Argentine Secretary of Energy, María Tettamanti.
